Watermelon Smoothie Recipe

Hi guys! Summer is almost over and we’re gonna welcome Fall soon! So I thought I would share a smoothie recipe with you.

We all love juicy watermelons right?! During the summertime, we love lounging at the pool or playing with the waves at the beach. On such days, eating a piece of watermelon can be very refreshing and help us beat the heat.

Watermelons contain 92% water to keep you hydrated and have a lot of healthy nutrients such as vitamins, minerals, lycopene, cucurbitacin E. Lycopene helps prevent cancer, lower cholesterol and blood pressure. Vitamin A and Vitamin C are good for our skin and hair. The fiber content can improve our digestion as well.

Since it has so many nutrition and health benefits, why not make a delicious healthy smoothie out of it 😀? It’s a very simple recipe. I hope you guys will love making it 🍉and enjoy the rest of the warm days this year.

Refreshing summer drink for everyone!

Ingredients :
  • 4 cups of watermelon (diced)
  • 1/2 tsp of sugar (optional, you can add this to increase its sweetness)
  • 3-4 fresh mint leaves
  • 1 tbsp of lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions :
  1. Cut the watermelon into little cubes. Add those cubes into a blender with the mint leaves. Add sugar (optional) and blend them together.

  2. Stir the mixture well and use a filter to remove the seeds. Also, make sure there are no chunks.

  3. Squeeze the lemon directly into it and sprinkle some black pepper.

  4. Cool it in the fridge for half an hour. Then pour it into a glass and add some ice cubes. Garnish with a few mint leaves. And ooh la your refreshing summery drink is ready to be served 🍹

Notes :

I added mint leaves into this smoothie. It not only adds flavor but also helps improve our digestion. When you feel sick or have a sore throat, you can try some mint tea to relieve you from the cold.
