MIAMI DAY 1: SOUTH BEACH

MIAMI DAY 1: SOUTH BEACH

Summer has just begun. So we decided to make a trip to Miami. As you all know we are beach lovers, that's why we always try to stay near the beach. So we stayed in a hotel named Hyatt Centric South Beach Miami which was just a 5 minute walk from the beach. The hotel itself was pretty good! As our room was on the highest floor, we could see an amazing view of the Atlantic ocean from there.

On our very first day in the morning, we literally ran towards the beach. How beautiful the blue water was! The white sands were dazzling in the sunlight! The whole beach was set up with colorful beach chairs, umbrellas and cabanas. Everything together was just making it a perfect beach.

We sat there for a while and enjoyed watching the waves and the people. Then we walked along the beach for some time.

For the first day, I wore a wrap dress which I got from a boutique named Boutique4 located in Mountain View. It was very comfortable for the heat and the print of the dress absolutely matched with the colors of the ocean.

After the beach, we headed towards Ocean Drive which runs parallel to the beach and was very crowded. This place has so much to offer. It's one of the main tourist spots in Miami Beach. We saw some historic colorful Art Deco buildings and hotels. The whole street is lined with many cafes, restaurants, boutiques and beach shops.

As we had a long walk at the beach, we were starving. So we decided to have our lunch first. We went to Caffe Milano where the food was served alfresco. We ordered roasted salmon which came with veggies along with Coconut Shrimp. The food was great! I recommend this place if you go there!

The most interesting part - we saw almost everyone on Ocean Drive had an oversized drink. So we had to give it a shot! Their Miami Vice frozen drink turned out great!

After lunch, we walked down Ocean Drive, visited some stores and tried out some stuff. I got a stylish bikini cover-up from there 🙂

On our way back to hotel, we found a coffee plus juice shop called Joe & The Juice just below it. And almost every day, I had their famous power-shake. I just loved it!

In the evening, we went to the famous Lincoln Blvd, which was similar to Rodeo Drive in LA. It's a great place to walk around, shopping, dining, watching people, etc. For the night out, I wore a dot-print sheath dress from Tommy Hilfiger which is on sale right now at Macys.

Since it was the world cup season, people were watching football while having their food. We went to Sushi Samba for dinner. We had some delicious sushi rolls while enjoying live music played by their DJ  🙂

After dinner, it was time to party! We went to the famous Ocean Drive nightclub called Mango's Tropical Cafe. I always dreamt of dancing Salsa but never got an opportunity. So this time we got a chance to dance our heart out! Also the frequent live performances by their dancers (who were also the bartenders!) were surprisingly commendable! Overall, it was full of fun 😀

Stay tuned for my next post!
